Payment and Cancellation Terms for the Phoenix Close Protection Course

  1. Payment
    • The DocuSign agreement confirms that you have received verbally and/or via email full details of the course, what it entails, and the price, including your payment arrangements.
    • Payment of a deposit can be made via bank transfer, card payment, or cash deposit.
  2. Cancellation and Cooling-off Period
    • Notice of cancellation must be given in the form of a letter (to HQ) or email (cp@phoenixgroupplc.com).
    • The standard 14-day cooling-off period under the Consumer Contracts Regulation is void if the course start date falls within 30 days of booking. In other words, if the course starts within 30 days of your booking, the 14-day cooling-off period is not valid.
    • Phoenix operates a threshold of 14 days for you to cancel without charges, but this 14-day cooling-off period is void if it falls within 30 days of the course start date.
    • You will be liable for the following fees if you make a cancellation:
      • Outside of 14 days of booking date but not within 90 days of course start date – £995
      • Within 90 to 30 days of course start date – £1,995
      • Any time where the course starts within 30 days – Full Course Balance of £3,995

  1. Payment
    • The DocuSign agreement confirms that you have received verbally and/or via email full details of the course, its content, and the price, including your payment arrangements.
    • Payment of a deposit can be made via bank transfer, card payment, or cash deposit.
  2. Cancellation and Cooling-off Period
    • Notice of cancellation must be given in the form of a letter (to HQ) or email (cp@phoenixgroupplc.com).
    • The standard 14-day cooling-off period under the Consumer Contracts Regulation is void if the course start date falls within 30 days of booking. In other words, if the course starts within 30 days of your booking, the 14-day cooling-off period is not valid.
    • Phoenix operates a threshold of 14 days for you to cancel without charges, but this 14-day cooling-off period is void if it falls within 30 days of the course start date.
    • You will be liable for the following fees if you make a cancellation:
      • Outside of 14 days of booking date but not within 90 days of course start date – 25% of the total course fee
      • Within 90 to 30 days of course start date – 50% of the total course fee
      • Any time where the course starts within 30 days – 100% of the total course fee

Refunds Policy – All Courses

  • Refunds will be processed within 10 working days.

General Terms and Conditions – All Courses

  1. Phoenix provides confirmation of the verbal agreement that has been made with you about the booking of the course, including the price, information of what is entailed in the course, and dates of bookings in the format of the ‘confirmation of the email’ and DocuSign.
  2. It is the responsibility of the candidate to read all the course information and requirements from Phoenix that are sent as part of the course induction once they have secured their booking.
    • These include the dress code requirements which include the appropriate clothing for the different parts of the course that will provide the candidate to be comfortable and conducive to the environment.
    • You are also required to provide identification documents on arrival and sign the relevant paperwork.
    • To bring the personal equipment you will need to undertake the course.
  3. You will abide by the learner agreement (available here) and Phoenix policies (available here). Any breach of these policies will result in disciplinary action and If you are asked to leave the course in line with the learner agreement you must do so immediately. There will be no refund if you are dismissed from the course. Any appeal to this must be made in line with our complaints/appeals policy.
  4. If you are unable to attend due to medical reasons you will need to provide us with a doctor’s note, if you wish to delay your course at no additional cost. This can be done at any point leading up to the course start date, however if this falls within 30 days of the course start date, a 25% rescheduling fee will apply (based upon course price).
  5. Students are responsible for verification of whether they can obtain any relevant SIA license. The payment of this is the responsibility of the student and no refund will be given if you are unable to obtain an SIA license.
  6. Should the SIA or regulatory bodies make any adjustment to training standard requirements, Phoenix will amend our course accordingly.
